Manchester United beat Southampton 3:2 to secure the League Cup: all thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovich

The Swede was at his best yet again, as Manchester United emerged winners of the keenly contested League cup finals at the Wembley stadium on Sunday.
A tension soaked contest at Wembley was settled by an Ibrahimovic header when it appeared the match was destined to move into extra-time.
Southampton still ruing their missed opportunity of taking the lead, after Manolo Gabbiadini's strike was wrongly ruled out for offside, were further unsettled after Ibrahimovic struck with an impressive free-kick to hand Red-Devils the lead.

Jesse Lingard scored United's second of the match, finding the bottom-right corner after a neat team move to net on his third consecutive Wembley appearance for United, the impressive Gabbiadini got a goal that did count in first-half stoppage time.
Gabbiadini netted his second goal of the match with a magnificent finish early in the second half, but Manchester United had the last laugh with Ibrahimovich hero.
Manchester United have now won the tournament on five occasions.
