Daniel Sturridge is declining in quality, and gradually leaving Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge is really getting worse in his form, and the problem is his speed. Speed is very essential in the EPL. If you ask Arsenal's Arsene Wenger, he will tell you more about why you need speed to function efficiently in the English Premier League.

According to Sky Sports "Jamie Carragher knows better than most how devastating Daniel Sturridge can be at the peak of his powers. In the 11 games that the two men started alongside each other for Liverpool, Sturridge not only scored nine goals but the team never lost".

Jamie Carragher, Liverpool's very own veteran defender comment on his former team-mate after The Mersey Side Red shocking EFL Cup semi-final DEFEAT to Southampton AGAIN at ANFIELD on Wednesday night. Daniel Sturridge missed some vital good chances that could have given Liverpool the glory. Sturridge's problem has always been his pace. He his declining in pace!

According to Jamie Carragher when he spoke to Sky Sports (skysports.com) "Sturridge is a completely different player now to when he first came to Liverpool. The whole point of Liverpool buying Sturridge under Brendan Rodgers when I was at the club was that he gave us penetration in behind, he had pace.

But there was one occasion in the game tonight where he fell over into the hoardings in front of The Kop and I thought he had to get that ball. I don't know if his pace has completely gone or whether he's that worried with injuries that he pulls out of something."

Daniel Sturridge had the best time of his career when Liverpool gave Man United a run for the title in 2013/14 season. He scored 21 goals in 29 Premier League games. The only player to outscore him then was Luis Suarez. Daniel Sturridge showed great playing skill and scoring prowess during that season. One cannot say of such claim in this present football season.

Daniel Sturridge should wake up and smell the coffee before he his booted out of the Anfield boot camp.
