“We will play Malaga and Villarreal,” said Eguma shortly after the Nigeria league runners-up landed in Madrid.
The trip to Spain is a fulfillment of the promise made by the Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike after they finished in second place behind Rangers in the league this past season.
The team departed Nigeria on Monday night and would be in Spain for 10 days.
At the weekend, Rivers United won the pre-season NPFL Super 4 tournament in Enugu ahead of league champions Rangers.
Both teams will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League.
