According to reports, Wilfried Zaha could be in-line to change his international alliance with the winger open to turning his back on England in favour of the Ivory Coast.
The Mirror report that Zaha, who has been capped twice by the Three Lions, is considering playing for the Elephants.
Zaha has not played at international level since 2013, but due to him only featuring in friendly matches for England, the 24-year-old will be able to make the switch - much like Diego Costa did having played for Brazil in non competitive games before running out for Spain.
The Crystal Palace wide man has contributed five assists and a goal this season, but hasn't seen his form rewarded with a recall to the national team and having turned down the opportunity to represent his country of birth twice before - Zaha looks to have finally changed his mind.
The news comes just at the right time following an injury to experienced forward Gervinho with the former Arsenal and Roma attacker ruled out of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gervinho, who has scored 22 goals in 79 caps for the Elephants, will be absent from Michel Dussuyer's squad in Gabon after undergoing knee surgery. The Hebei China Fortune star is set to face ace up to six months sidelines.
