Tottenham crashed out of the Champions League after a 2-1 loss at Monaco.
Heung-min Son wasted a glorious chance to give Spurs an early lead, running through on goal and fluffing a chance to round the goalkeeper, and the visitors were nearly made to pay fully after giving away a penalty.
Hugo Lloris saved the spot kick as Monaco continued to miss chances to break the deadlock in the opening half.
Djibril Sidibe quickly made amends, heading home unmarked in the penalty area, but Monaco were pegged back within seconds as Harry Kane converted a penalty after Dele Alli was fouled.
But Monaco took just 38 seconds to restore their lead as again Spurs struggled to contain them on the wings and Thomas Lemar fired home across Lloris to eliminate Tottenham.
