Leicester City booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a 2-1 victory over Club Brugge at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes, who have endured a few wobbles in the defence of their Premier League crown, required just five minutes to break the deadlock, with Shinji Okazaki meeting a Christian Fuchs cross at the near post to sweep into the top corner.
Claudio Ranieri’s side doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark as Riyad Mahrez converted from the penalty spot after Marc Albrighton had been felled.
Jose Izquierdo pulled one back seven minutes into the second half with a spectacular solo effort, ending Leicester’s run of clean sheets in Europe, but there was to be no denying the hosts as they battled their way to a fourth continental victory of the campaign.
