Pep Guardiola is looking to add to his defensive options in the shape of Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo but could be put off by his £38.5 million price tag, according to O Jogo.
Former Barcelona youth product Grimaldo joined the Lisbon side for just £1.3m in January 2016 and is said to fit the mold that the Spaniard wants for his full-backs at the Etihad Stadium.
However, the Spain Under-21s international's hefty price tag is said to be causing the City manager some concern as he is said to be reluctant to pay over the odds for a player whom he knows from his time in Catalonia.
