Liverpool suffered a shock defeat at Turf Moor, going down 2-0 to Burnley thanks to first-half goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.
The hosts took just two minutes to open the scoring, Nathaniel Clyne guilty of giving the ball away and allowing Gray to pick out Vokes who turned and fired past Simon Mignolet.
Sean Dyche's men then doubled their lead on 38 minutes, new record signing Steven Defour on the counter attack teeing up Gray who beat two defenders before finding the far corner.
