Arsenal 2-0 Hull City: Mertesacker & Alexis wrap up victory‏

Thegoalmac can reveal that Arsenal had Per Mertesacker and Alexis Sanchez to thank for guiding them into the fourth round of the FA Cup after a 2-0 win over Hull.

The German defender gave Arsene Wenger's side the lead on 20 minutes after Alexis Sanchez' corner was thumped home by Mertesacker.

The Chilean then went from provider to goalscorer with ten minutes to go after Curtis Davies showed the midfielder too much space, allowing Santi Cazorla to pick his pass to Sanchez,  who cooly rifled his shot into the bottom corner.
