I agree with Xavi completely, I love watching Barkley play, he is so good that sometimes I wonder if the guy is an English player, Lol. Sterling too, has impressed me as well, especially with his speed, hopefully they can both achieve great things in their careers in the future. The two youngsters are enjoying burgeoning reputations after stellar breakthrough seasons last campaign and have subsequently attracted interest from a string of Europe's top sides.
Barkley is a target for both Manchester City and Chelsea while Sterling is reportedly of interest to Real Madrid, and Xavi - who broke into Barcelona's first team at the age of 18 - is confident the pair could thrive at Camp Nou.
"Yes, why not? I think that they could," he told Squawka. "They have incredible physical capabilities and they are good technically.
"In Spain, we prioritise players who are technically gifted but both things are very important in football."
Barkley recently penned a new five-year deal at Everton, but Sterling is yet to agree an improved deal after becoming an integral part of Brendan Rodgers's side.
