Messi destined to be a Playmaker not a striker, says Sabella

Thegoalmac can reveal that Former Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella believes Lionel Messi will eventually evolve into a playmaking role.

To be sincere,i prefer watching Messi the playmaker/striker than Messi the striker alone, because he is more involved in games and creates plenty room for other forwards to score, that is why i believe Messi,Suarez,Neymar (MSN) combo will work to a devastating effect against opponents.

You agree with me?Continue for what Mr Sabella said.
Sabella, who left his role in charge of Argentina after this year’s World Cup final defeat to Germany, was praised for devising a system which final saw Messi replicate his club form on the international stage.

“As time passes and he loses that extraordinary, explosive pace, he will become more of a playmaker,” Sabella told Cope.

“He’s so extraordinary that we only know [him as a goalscorer], but can do so much more.”
Sabella made Messi captain upon his appointment as Argentina coach and went on to insist the Barcelona star will go down in history as the one of the best the sport has seen.

“He is one of the world's great players, and we are lucky to see him week in, week out. He is one of the best players of all time,” he said.

"His team-mates know that he can win a game, he can help win a match, and his opponents are scared of what he can do to them. He is a decisive, incredible player.”
