Thegoalmac can reveal that Paris Saint-Germain's president Nasser Al-Khelaifi described Edinson Cavani as "the best striker in the world" following his match-winning goal against APOEL on Tuesday.
For me this guy is not even in the top 5 best strikers in the world,as i would rate Luis Suarez,Zlatan Ibrahimovic,Diego Costa,Robert Lewnadoski,Falcao ahead of him in no particular order,he misses too many chances to be considered the best striker in the world.
What do you think?Continue for what he said.
It is always complicated to play here," the PSG supremo told Canal Plus. "It was a difficult game and it was important to get the three points because this way we can stay on top of the group.
"If only we could play that well in Ligue 1! In Ligue 1, we're never
playing with the same XI, even if we have a great squad, but that's not
an excuse.
"Everybody is available now and we have Cavani, who proved that he is
the best striker in the world. It's a new beginning for us after the
weekend win against Lens.
"It will be important to win again against Bordeaux on Saturday,
perhaps with Zlatan fit. He's undergoing tests tomorrow [Wednesday]."
Cavani, who was sent off in controversial circumstances following his
goal celebration against Lens at the weekend, aimed his imaginary
gunshot into the ground after he scored in Cyprus and stressed that this
was so that there was no chance of a booking this time around.
"The most important thing for a striker is to score and the most
important thing for the team was to advance in the Champions League,"
the ex-Napoli forward mused.
"My gesture after the goal was due to my decision to not be
misunderstood. Regarding my sending off, we all have the right to make
mistakes. We're all human beings. The TV footage is clearly in my
favour.
"It was not meant with bad taste, it was misunderstood. I'm simply working hard to perform well and help my team."
Cavani was booked for his trademark celebration at Lens before then being sent off for protesting the referee's decision.
