Nigeria and Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has been adjudged the seventh most valuable Under-21 player on the planet earth, according to a report by Soccerex.
The Nigerian international who starred in Manchester City's pre-season defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday is worth £16.8m, according to the report Soccerex Prime Time Sport’s Football Value Index study.
The Soccerex Report utilises a Football Value Index compiled by Prime Time Sport and takes into account the player’s age, position, current club, contract length, market value perception, international caps, minutes played, goals, injuries and technical quality from a variety of sources to arrive at a final valuation.
France forward Anthony Martial was adjudged the most valuable Under-21 player on the planet and was valued at £39.7m, a figure which doubles Iheanacho's worth in the top ten list.
Schalke's Leroy Sane and Bayern Munich's Renato Sanches made up the top three places. Tottenham Hotspur's Dele Alli, Kingsley Coman, Embolo, Marcus Rashford and Max Meyer, in that order, finished above Iheanacho.
