Sterling misses Liverpool training after calling in sick again

What do you think Liverpool should do with Raheem Sterling? Sell him to Man City or keep him and put him on the bench just to punish him?

Sterling was absent from Liverpool training for a second day after calling in sick again, Thegoalmac has learned.

The winger, who does not want to take part in the pre-season tour of Australia and Asia, is a target for Manchester City after informing Brendan Rodgers of his desire to leave Anfield this summer.

With the Liverpool squad due back for preparations ahead of the new campaign on Wednesday, Sterling informed the club he was unable to attend due to illness and repeated that claim on Thursday morning.

Sterling has already turned down a new £100,000-a-week contract, with the 20-year-old agent, Aidy Ward, claiming all trust between his client and Rodgers has evaporated over the long-running transfer saga.

Liverpool are set to fly out on Sunday, ahead of a game against the Thai All-Stars in Bangkok next Tuesday.
