Zouma will do great things for Chelsea, says Mourinho

Thegoalmac understands that Jose Mourinho believes centre-back Kurt Zouma will develop into an important player for Chelsea in the future.

I personally watched him closely yesterday after he came on for Cahill and he was just brilliant and looks very promising. I wish him all the best at Chelsea, I love seeing young players with great potentials realise it. Read what Jose said about Zouma after the cut.

"[Cahill suffered] No concussion or anything like that," Mourinho said. "He was just maybe afraid of heading the ball which is not good.

"It was a good opportunity for Zouma, who is playing very well every time he plays. I’m so happy with his evolution since he arrived. He will be a big player for Chelsea for many years."

Chelsea extended their long unbeaten against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge with the victory, with Spurs continuing to look for a first win at the stadium since Gary Lineker scored the winner in a First Division game in February 1990.

"Every game is a separate event," Mourinho said of the record. "It doesn’t matter what happens five, 10, 20 years ago. It’s a long time, I’m sure Lineker is happy with that.

"We are playing well. we are having good results in every competition. I don’t want to talk too much about it. We will play our best every game and try to get the best possible result."
