If Sir Alex apologises to me, I will forgive him, says Roy Keane

Thegoalmac understands that Roy Keane says he would be happy to resolve his differences with Alex Ferguson should the former Manchester United manager be willing to apologise to him.

Who agrees with Keane that Sir Alex should apologise to him? Especially given to the fact that he also has bad mouthed Sir Alex too. Anyways, continue to see what he said after the cut.

"Well, it would be a cup of tea. If Sir Alex apologises, then yes, I would," he told FourFourTwo.

"If Ferguson apologises I would be happy to move on... for Ferguson to badmouth me after I left, I think he does owe me an apology."

Keane left Old Trafford acrimoniously in 2005 amidst reports of a falling out with Ferguson but the former midfielder insists he loved his time at the club.

"It was never going to end as a pal's act. I was never going to leave with champagne and flowers," he added.

"I saw how Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce left the club, both decent United captains, and I didn't like the way they left.

"If United fans say I had a decent career, then brilliant. If they want to say, 'What's gone on with Ferguson stuff?' then f*** them.

"I'm not begrudging of Sir Alex and Man United, because, let's get this straight, I had the greatest days of my life at United."

Since retiring as a player Keane has managed both Sunderland and Ipswich Town and revealed why he felt he had not succeeded at Portman Road.

"I never felt comfortable at Ipswich because they wore blue... I'm not a big lover of blue," he added.
