Mesut Ozil will let Arsenal contract run out in search of Man United move

With all the noise surrounding Alexis Sanchez's potential departure from Arsenal in the summer window, the future of teammate Mesut Ozil -- in a similar contract situation -- was somewhat under the radar.
But according to the Mirror, Ozil has had enough of life at the Emirates under Arsene Wenger and is keen on the prospect of joining Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.
The 28-year-old, Germany international, out of contract at the end of the season, is reportedly willing to let his deal run down and become a free agent next summer.
And the Mirror suggests a switch to Old Trafford might not be as far-fetched as it may seem, saying "Ozil's advisors have put out feelers over a potential move and the feedback has been encouraging."

Mourinho is thought to be a long-time admirer of Ozil -- who is asking for £250,000-a-week from Arsenal -- and has him at the top of his wish list alongside Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
As for Sanchez, recent reports have suggested he will push for the move to Manchester City that never materialised in the last window.
But now the Sun says notoriously cash-strapped Paris Saint-Germain are ready to return for the Chile international and offer a bumper wage.
The problem for City is compounded by the fact that PSG are free to begin talks in January, while transfer rules mean City must wait until his contract expires in the summer.
Were the Ligue 1 giants to make headway on a move, the Sun says Edinson Cavani would be the player to leave.
