Spain's man of the moment Isco will sign a new contract at Real Madrid, scuppering speculation that he could join Manchester United or Tottenham.
The Sun
credits the Premier League duo as long-term admirers of the attacking
midfielder and it was previously thought he may be attainable given his
role as an understudy at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The
25-year-old played a big part in Real Madrid's La Liga and Champions
League success last season, however, and starred for Spain in their 3-0
World Cup qualifying victory against Italy last week, scoring twice and
humiliating Marco Verratti with a nutmeg that has since gone viral.
That has prompted Florentino Perez to sign Isco to a new deal, with the Real Madrid president revealing an announcement is imminent. It may not be such a blow to Jose Mourinho, who could benefit from this development in his bid to bring Gareth Bale back to England.
