Ian Rush arrives floating football pitch in Cardiff with Champions League trophy

The Champions League final on Saturday is the first major football final held in Cardiff since the FA Cup returned to Wembley after 2006, so there is no surprise the build-up is proving to be eye-catching.
The trophy was on Thursday delivered to the Welsh capital city, but there was no chance of it being a low-key affair.
Instead, the cup arrived on a motorboat, and was personally escorted onto a floating football pitch in Cardiff Bay by Wales' greatest centre forward.

Liverpool and Wales legend Ian Rush was given the honour of carrying the trophy onto the pitch in the shadow of the Welsh parliament building.
Rush, accompanied by the country's first minister Carwyn Jones, displayed the Champions League trophy for the watching public, before Real Madrid and Juventus compete for it on Saturday.
It is the first major European final to be played in Wales, which has only previously been able to watch on as numerous showpieces are staged at Wembley and Hampden Park.
Now however it is Cardiff's time to shine with the big match taking place at the Principality Stadium - although it has had o be renamed due to UEFA rules on advertising.
For Rush, it marked the third time he has managed to get his hands on the trophy, having previously won it with Liverpool in 1981 and 1984.
