Bulgarian defender drinks beer on the pitch before netting a dramatic late equaliser

Ivan Bandalovski picks up a beer thrown onto the pitch during the 28th minute of the match

Vereya may have lost their Europa League playoff match against Levski Sofia but their former defender Ivan Bandalovski certainly left his mark on proceedings.
In the 28th minute of the match, with the score goalless between the two sides, one supporter decided to throw a half-filled can onto the pitch.
Spotting the object on the field as he adjusted his socks on the sidelines, Bandalovski proceeded to walk over to the beer.
The defender tilts his head back as he takes an almighty swig from the half-filled can

But instead of disposing of the can the defender tilted his head back and took a hearty swig, before spitting some of his mouthful back on the pitch.
It's a tactic that clearly worked as a revitalised Bandalovski went on to score a dramatic equaliser with the final kick of normal time.
With Vereya losing 1-0 to Levski they were given one last chance to keep their Europa League hopes alive when they won a corner in the 93rd minute.

The set piece was swung in low and flicked on by the Vereya goalkeeper Plamen Kolev, who was up for the corner, and ended up at the feet of none other than Bandalovski.
And the 30-year-old made no mistake from close range as he adjusted his feet to crash home an equaliser and send the match to extra time.
Bandalovski's effort was ultimately in vain as Levski went on to win the tie 9-8 in a penalty shootout to advance to the next round of Europa League qualifying.
It proved to be Bandalovski's final match in a Vereya shirt, as the Bulgarian international signed for Anorthosis Famagusta just two days later - the Cypriot side must have been in the market for a beer-swigging centre back.
