Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil team up to pressure Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are in cahoots as they apply pressure on Arsenal to pay them the £300,000-per-week they want.

The pair are both stalling on signing new deals with Gunners chiefs eager to get a decision from their stars as quickly as possible.
And the duo are keeping each other updated on developments regarding their individual contract negotiations as they look to extract the best possible offer from the club.

Arsenal have so far fallen short of Sanchez and Ozil’s demands, their latest offer to the Chilean has come in at £270,000-per-week.
It remains to be seen if either will be at the club next season.

Sportsmail columnist Martin Keown is not happy with the  players’ approach, saying: ‘They have been over-indulged at times this season and they let Arsenal down in the period when they lost twice to Bayern Munich.’
Keown added on BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘If Arsenal have to say cheerio to those two players, then that is the right decision. The club is bigger than two individuals.

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere fears his days at Arsenal after the confirmation of Wenger’s new deal.
The midfielder’s future is uncertain after Wenger let Wilshere leave on loan for Bournemouth last summer.
Wilshere has just 12 months left on his contract and is yet to agree a new one.

And with Arsenal planning on signing at least one new central midfielder this summer, Wilshere looks set to be pushed further down the pecking order.
As revealed by Sportsmail, Wilshere was sent to Dubai to complete a rehabilitation programme in his recovery from a broken leg rather remain at the club’s London Colney HQ.
Arsenal could yet offer Wilshere fresh terms but the deal is likely to be a short-term deal with a view to protecting his transfer value.
