Watford winner, my best goal- Emre Can

Not only was Emre Can’s wonder-strike a magnificent sight but so was the slick knee slide that followed.
The entire passage oozed glamour and a nonchalance as the German took full advantage of the spotlight and ensured he perfected a goal that will undoubtedly be watched by Reds repeatedly for some time.

A double take was required to comprehend the fact it was Lucas Leiva who had provided such a classy assist as well as it being Can who had produced the kind of magic more typically expected from one of the team’s Brazilian forwards.

An incredible goal that marked his swift rise in importance to this side.
Reflecting on his first half winner, Can told Liverpoolfc.com: “I couldn’t do anything else there, because the ball was a little bit behind and I couldn’t head it.”
“I didn’t think too much and then I scored and I think I will never score [a goal like that] again! It was a special goal but I’m very happy that we got the three points, it was the most important [thing].”
“It was the best goal I’ve ever scored. It was an unbelievable goal!”
