Despite taking the lead at Bernabeu through Isco, Real endured a nightmarish evening as goals from Taunausu, Jonathan Viera and Kevin Prince Boateng saw the visitors surge into a second-half lead.
The hosts were dealt a blow early in the second half when Gareth Bale was sent off for a second yellow-card offence and Las Palmas looked ready to snatch victory until a late Ronaldo double salvaged a point for Zidane's men.
Naturally enough, Madrid fans were far from happy with how their players and let them know in no uncertain terms that their performances were not acceptable.
