Liverpool are preparing a £20 million bid for Celtic striker Mousa Dembele in the January transfer window, according to Glasgow Live.
Jurgen Klopp is looking to add to his striking options in the new year as the Reds look to sustain their Premier League title challenge, and has sent scouts to watch the former Fulham forward on five occasions this season.
Dembele has scored 17 goals for the Scottish champions since joining in the summer, firing Brendan Rodgers men to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Having rejected lucrative deals from Arsenal and Tottenham in the summer in favour of being Celtic's main striker, the club remain confident the 20-year-old will turn down a move to the Premier League in January.
Liverpool will offer £10m up front, doubling the fee in add-ons, and are ready to hand Dembele £60,000-a-week in wages.
