Gernot Rohr Gives His Take As Super Eagles Prepare To Face Algeria On Saturday

Nigeria head coach Gernot Rohr has warned his side that Algeria will be thoroughly prepared for their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The Desert Foxes will be determined to claim victory over the visitors after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Cameroon last month, while the Super Eagles beat Zambia in their Group B opener.

Rohr is aware of Algeria’s burning desire to win at home, and believes they will be difficult to turn over in Uyo at the weekend.

“I believe all the games in this group will be difficult to win because all the four teams are very strong,” he told CAF Online.

“Algeria, which is the number one team in Africa, must be disappointed for dropping points at home against Cameroon.
“They will come to Uyo very well prepared against us. So mathematically, it was a good operation for us that we won in Ndola; and we are the only teams that have three points after the first round of matches.”
