FC IfeanyiUbah, the 2016 winners of the Federation Cup have been given N10m by the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano.
FC IfeanyiUbah on Sunday, November 6 defeated Nasarawa United via penalty shoot-out to lift the Federation Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
To reward the players, Governor Obiano on Wednesday, November 23 donated the sum of N10M to the players.
Obiano donated the sum when he was hosting the team during their Federation Cup trophy parade.
The Governor hosted the team at the Amawbia Government lodge in Awka.
The players earlier got cash rewards of N10m from the club following their Federation Cup win.
“Management of FC Ifeanyi Ubah has approved and released cash reward(winning bonuses) for the players, management and the supporters club,” the club wrote on Twitter.
“To appreciate them for their commitment and determination throughout the season and the eventual triumph as follows.
The trophy parade went through the major cities in the states from Nnewi-Awka-Onitsha as they celebrate their Federation Cup win.
Billionaire owner, Ifeanyi Ubah who is also the chairman of the Anambra State FA was also in attendance.
As winners of the Federation Cup, FC IfeanyiUbah will represent Nigeria in the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup.
