Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Aaron Ramsey could return against Sunderland at the end of the month.
Ramsey has not featured for the Gunners since picking up a hamstring injury in his side's opening day defeat against Liverpool in August.
Arsenal go up against Middlesbrough in the Premier League on Saturday, before playing host to Reading in the EFL Cup next Tuesday.
And speaking ahead of the Boro clash, Wenger confirmed Ramsey will miss the next two matches but could make his comeback against Sunderland on 29 October.
"Aaron’s progressing well,” said Wenger.
“He won’t be back for Reading, but he could return in time for Sunderland.”
Arsenal head into the Middlesbrough game in fine form, having won their last seven games in all competitions.
