Watford 1-0 Hull City: Dawson own goal seals Hornets victory

Watford moved up to seventh in the Premier League table with a tight 1-0 win over strugglers Hull City on Saturday.

A late Michael Dawson own goal sealed the three points for the hosts, who are now unbeaten in four league matches under Walter Mazzarri.

Watford started the better of the two teams but it looked as though Hull, who are rapidly sliding down the standings following a brilliant start, were going to come away from Vicarage Road with a point.

But their captain diverted a cross from Daryl Janmaat into his own net late on to Watford's delight.
