Nasarawa United shocked Enyimba 1-0 in their Federation Cup semi-final fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Saturday to book a place in the final of the competition.
The Peoples Elephant who had a disappointing campaign in the Nigeria Professional Football League were looking to end their season on a high by winning the competition but were outplayed by their opponents who put up a spirited performance in the encounter.
Seun Sogbeso scored the winning goal from the spot in the 29th minute.
The Solid Miners carved out numerous chances in the game but were thwarted by some brave goalkeeping by Theophilus Afelokhai.
Enyimba's best effort to score the leveller came in the 68th minute when Joseph Osadiaye' s effort hit the post.
They were reduced to 10-men four minutes from time when Uche John received his second booking of the game for dissent.
Nasarawa United will slug it out with FC IfeanyiUbah in the final of the competition.
The date and venue of the game are expected to be announced soon by the Nigeria Football Federation.
