Cristiano Ronaldo came to the rescue for Real Madrid with a hat-trick to help them on their way to a 4-1 win over Alaves.
It was the hosts who surprisingly took the lead, as Deyverson was allowed to take on a low cross and end the deadlock after seven minutes.
Deyverson played a key role in his side's downfall, though. Gareth Bale's free kick was stopped by the elbow of the goalscorer and the referee pointed to the spot. Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up to convert it.
Later in the half, Ronaldo put his side in the lead, smashing it home with the aide of a deflection.
Ronaldo could have added another in the second half with another penalty, but he failed to convert.
Alvaro Morata gave Madrid a comfortable lead though, before Ronaldo added a third shortly afterwards.
