Cristiano Ronaldo's private plane crash landed in Barcelona at the El Prat airport after the landing gear broke on impact.
The Real Madrid star was not on board as he was in Germany gearing up for the Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund.
According to eyewitnesses emergency services were quickly onto the incident after the jets mishap.
Fortunately, other than minor injuries sustained by the pilot, no one was seriously hurt. It's reported that the runway was also closed for short time before reopening.
Ronaldo purchased the Gulfstream G200 last year for a cool £15million, and even rents the plane out to private clients. A source with connections to the Euro 2016 winner viaMirrorFootball said;
"The plane is normally rented by companies and it was in use by one of them. Cristiano Ronaldo, his family or friends were not on the plane. The incident had no major consequences."
