Tottenham suffered a disappointing start to their Champions League campaign as they surprisingly lost 2-1 to Monaco at Wembley.
Against the run of play Bernardo Silva fired the French side into the lead before Thomas Lemar doubled their advantage with a fierce volley. Although Toby Alderweireld pulled one back before the break, Spurs could not find a leveller.
