David Luiz has been slammed by a former Chelsea coach, who insists the summer signing is "a penalty waiting to happen".
The Brazilian sealed a shock return to Stamford Bridge on deadline day, two years after leaving for Paris Saint-German, with new manager Antonio Conte having spent all summer searching for a defender.
The 29-year-old garnered criticism from many during his first spell at Chelsea, notably from pundit Gary Neville who described one performance as being akin to "being controlled by a 10-year-old on a PlayStation".
And now Luiz has been likened to Santa Claus by Wilkins because of his generosity to opposition teams.
"We are coming up to Christmas and he loves giving presents away. He is a penalty just waiting to happen, especially as a central defender,' he said on Sky Sports News.
"Don't get me wrong, he is a very talented footballer but he is not a centre-half as far as I'm concerned.
"He is a holding midfield player or a midfield player. He just makes very, very rash decisions and poor decisions as a centre-half. I don't understand why they brought him back into the fold."
