CSKA Moscow 0-1 Tottenham: Son the saviour for Spurs again

Tottenham were held to a goalless draw by Monaco as their search for a first win in the Champions League continues despite dominating possession.

Dele Alli hit the crossbar in the first half, before Vincent Janssen's dinked effort was correctly ruled offside shortly afterwards.

Janssen was withdrawn on the hour mark after a largely frustrating display with his replacement, fellow summer signing Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, immediately injecting more threat into Spurs' attack and the visitors soon broke the deadlock.

With CSKA again on the back foot, Erik Lamela squeezed a pass through the flat-footed defence to find Heung-min Son to slot home behind Igor Akinfeev for his fifth goal in his last five games and secure all three points.
