Werder Bremen have announced the signing of Arsenal's Serge Gnabry.
The 21-year-old has secured a permanent return to his homeland on Wednesday and cites regular first team football as the reason for his decision to leave the Emirates.
"I've come to Bremen to get playing time, to develop further and to help the team," Gnabry told the official club website. "I spoke to Robert Bauer, I'm happy to see him again and that we'll be able to play together."
Werder Bremen's sporting director Frank Baumann added: "We are delighted that Serge has decided for Werder, although he also had some other options.
"After the failure of Max Kruse we saw in the offensive area for action. We are glad that we have with Serge found the players in our squad with which we increase the quality continue.
"He is a very young player who most recently shown at the Olympic Games has what skills he
has, how fast and goal threat he can be. I am convinced that he can exploit with continued practice game to its full potential in the Bundesliga."
Gnabry joined the Arsenal academy from Stuttgart and leaves having made 11 Premier League appearances.
