Lucas: It's time for me to 'explode' at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain star Lucas Moura wants to "explode" under the guidance of new coach Unai Emery this season.
The Brazilian joined the current French champions for €45 million in 2012 and scored 13 goals in all competitions last season, the best tally of his career.

Lucas believes he still has more to give, however, and insists he is totally dedicated to the PSG cause despite speculation linking him with the likes of Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

"I hope I have a lot to give [this season] - lots to offer this team and Paris Saint-Germain," he told Goal. "I have progressed since I arrived here [and now] it's time for me to explode.

"This is the time to take my place. This will come with work and discipline. I really try to respect what the coach asks me to help the team.

"I feel good and I am very positive for this season. I will give my life to make supporters dream and give titles to PSG."

Lucas revealed that intensive work on PSG's play out of possession had been a feature of Emery's first pre-season campaign since taking over from Laurent Blanc.

"Work, work and work," he said. "We did a lot of physical [work], a lot on tactics. We had two training sessions per day. It's very intense, even a little tiring, but it will be very good for us during the season.

"It's difficult to talk about differences, but I think Emery works a lot on the tactical aspects and movement without the ball. That's the biggest difference.

"It's to ensure that we are very organised on the ground. I feel also that we will improve our game recovery, which was a bit of a fault for us, for me, before.

"As soon as we lose the ball, the coach asks that we organise [ourselves] to recover very quickly. That's why we work hard on movement and positioning."
