Warri Wolves 3-1 Akwa United: Osanga Scores As Home Side Fight Back To Secure Win

Warri Wolves rallied from a goal down to beat Akwa United 3-1 at the Warri City Stadium on Sunday.

The game was postponed from Saturday after heavy rain rendered the pitch unplayable. Ubong Friday stunned the hosts when he grabbed the opening goal in the 34th minute.

The Seasiders equalised 10 minutes later through Sikiru Alimi, who converted from the spot. Former junior international King Osanga put the hosts ahead for the first time in the game on the hour mark.

Seven minutes later, Kelvin Itoya put the game beyond Akwa United when he grabbed the third goal for the home team. With the defeat, Akwa United slipped to 10th position in the table, while Wolves sit in the 14th position.
