The Premier League side have long been linked with a move for the duo, with Guardiola having already admitted his side's desire to land the 20-year-old Germany international. City are close to signing Sane and Gabriel Jesus, though neither deal is complete yet.
Guardiola's side are also confident of landing 22-year-old Stones, and, speaking after the International Champions Cup match with Borussia Dortmund, the Catalan reemphasised his interest in the pair.
"Sane is a player from Schalke. If he comes, we'll be happy. If he stays, I'll be happy for the Schalke fans," Guardiola told a media conference.
"[In Stones' case,] it's the same answer for Sane - he's a player for Everton. Everyone knows we're going to try but we will see."
Sane has already handed in a transfer request with the Bundesliga side, but is contracted to Schalke until June 2019 - the same length of time Stones is tied to the Toffees.
