The Gunners’ all-time record goalscorer had agreed to become a full-time coach with the club’s Under-18s side, but confirmed on Tuesday that the move had fallen through after Arsene Wenger told him to quit his role as a pundit for Sky Sports in order to focus on his coaching career.
It’s now been reported that the former France international has held ‘exploratory talks’ with the two Premier League sides, while he may also land a role with a national association.
Arsenal’s former captain Tony Adams has replaced Henry as coach of the Under-18s.
