Nigerian striker, Nosa Igiebor was at his usual best for his Israeli club on Thursday night as he netted a brace in their 3-0 thumping of ND Grocia in one of the Europa League qualifying round first leg ties that took place across Europe.
Igiebor scored in the 13th and 69th minute while teammate, Portuguese striker, Orlando Sa complemented his effort with a late strike in the first to ensure that Maccabi hold a healthy advantage going for the second leg.
Igiebor who at the moment has been frozen out of action with the national team will hope he can impress with more goals as the season progresses to stand a chance of a recall in the Super Eagles team that would soon begin their world qualification quest in October.
Igiebor 25, contributed a great deal in Nigeria making it to the Brazil 2014 World Cup with a crucial away goal against Ethiopia back then under Coach Stephen Keshi
