Chelsea plot Portugal star Joao Mario bid

Chelsea are set to reignite their interest in Sporting midfielder Joao Mario and are preparing an offer, according to O Jogo.

The 23-year-old was one of the stars of Portugal's Euro 2016 triumph, with new Blues boss Antonio Conte impressed by his performances.

And the Stamford Bridge outfit are now set to bid €40 million as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
