The promising England centre-back attracted interest from Chelsea in the summer window but is now also on the Liga club's radar after a recommendation from former manager Rafael Benitez.
The Daily Mail reports that Barcelona are also keen on signing the 21-year-old but have been put off by the Toffees' £40 million valuation of the former Barnsley star.
