Felipe Anderson & Fred join Brazil squad

Lazio's Felipe Anderson and Shakhtar Donetsk's Fred will join the Brazil squad for the upcoming Chevrolet Brasil Global Tour friendlies with Mexico and Honduras in June.

The pair were named on Dunga's standby list for next month's Copa America and will join the group for Brazil's two warm-up matches, but are not expected to remain with the squad for the tournament in Chile.

They will join the rest of the squad at the Granja Comary training camp on June 1 ahead of the June 7 clash with Mexico in Sao Paulo and the June 10 friendly with Honduras in Porto Alegre, with Dunga keen to cast a closer eye on the pair who are both eligible for the 2016 Rio Olympics squad.

ConfederaĆ§Ć£o Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) confirmed earlier this month that Dunga will now lead the side in search of Brazil's first Olympic gold after Alexandre Gallo was relieved of his coaching duties.

Captain Neymar will miss the match against Mexico because his club, Barcelona, will play the Uefa Champions League final in Berlin on the previous day.

Former Santos man Felipe Anderson has starred in Serie A this season, hitting 10 goals in 30 league appearances as Lazio close in on a top-three finish and Champions League qualification.
And now the 22-year-old is hoping to make his full international debut.

Fred, also 22, made substitute appearances for Dunga in last year's friendly victories over Turkey and Austria as part of a squad that was restricted to foreign-based players only.
