Van Persie has not featured for the United first team since picking up an ankle injury in a 2-1 defeat to Swansea City in February, though he did make Louis van Gaal's substitutes' bench for Saturday's 1-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman has struggled for form and fitness this season, scoring 13 goals in just 26 appearances in all competitions, and is yet to agree an extension to a United contract that expires in the summer of 2016.
But he will look to step up his recovery for Warren Joyce's men, who top Division One of the Under-21 Premier League with 30 points from 17 matches.
