Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have served a strong hint
that they will finally put an end to the long riddle over the Super
Eagles’ head coach, as the soccer body’s general-secretary, Dr Mohammed
Sanusi says a verdict on the issue will be made public this Friday.
Though the NFF scribe did not make any categorical statement on whether
the incumbent handler, Stephen Keshi will be the one to be announced
officially to continue as Eagles coach, he stressed that Nigerians will
on Friday finally get to know who will be in charge of the squad.
While speaking with journalists at Glass House on Tuesday, Sanusi
insisted that the Eagles’ coach’s identity will be known by Friday to
rest concern over the issue.
He equally spoke on plans to bring in more investors in to support
Nigeria football development, thereby not relying solely on the Federal
Government for financial support, but urged all concerned and aggrieved
parties sheathe their swords and come together to rebuild the game in
the country. “I promise you, by Friday, the issue of who becomes the
coach of Super Eagles will over.
Because it will be sorted out finally. So, by Friday we all will know
the new coach of Super Eagles. “I want to use this medium also to call
on all aggrieve parties and friends that love football should all come
together. Let’s build our football together,” Sanusi concluded.
