Marcelo says that of all of his Real Madrid team-mates, he has been most impressed by Isco.
Spain international Isco appeared to be on the fringes of Carlo
Ancelotti’s side earlier this season but has capitalised on injuries to
Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez to establish himself in the team with a
string of impressive displays.
And for all the mega-money stars with whom he shares a changing room,
Brazil star Marcelo praised the former Malaga man the most.
"Isco is the one who impresses me the most,” Marcelo told the Real Madrid youth team players.
“He works wonders with the ball in every training session that a normal player can't do. It's like he has glue on his feet.”
Marcelo, who this month was recalled to the Brazil squad for
friendlies with France and Chile, joined former team-mate Guti for a
youth team training session.
The 26-year-old is now the club’s third-captain, after Iker Casillas
and Sergio Ramos, and went on to speak of his pride at wearing the club
armband.
“Being captain of Real Madrid is an honour and a big responsibility,” he said.
“I did not know I was going to be a captain at 26, I work very hard
and I have to share my virtues to my teammates. It's a very big
responsibility."
