Jose Mourinho abruptly ended his post-match interview with the BBC following Chelsea's last-gasp 1-0 win over Everton on Wednesday evening.
As
tempers flared following Gareth Barry's late dismissal at Stamford
Bridge, Branislav Ivanovic appeared to put his head into James
McCarthy's face and grab the Everton midfielder by the neck.
Barry
was shown a second yellow card two minutes from time for a foul on
Willian, who went on to score the winner which keeps Chelsea seven
points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
Referee
Jonathan Moss took no action against Ivanovic and Mourinho was not
impressed when asked if he was prepared to discipline his players if
they were deemed to need such action.
"It's so emotional and
things happen so quickly but, when you see that melee afterwards, if you
see that one of your players has done something wrong, will you take
action?" Mourinho was asked.
"Sorry, see you tomorrow," was the Chelsea manager's abrupt response before walking away.
Mourinho
expressed annoyance with a similar line of questioning at his
post-match press conference, adding: "I'm tired of stories and I am
never tired of football. Football is emotion and football is what we
have here today.
"A discussion because of a red card, a red card
that should be given in the first half because Barry should be sent off
in the first half.
"He had a yellow card and he pulled Eden
Hazard when Hazard goes to attack a last defender. So the second yellow
card should be given there. So nothing important.
"I am
concerned for my reaction, because one more question I leave and after
that you are not happy. So I am more concerned with my reaction. The
next question to that story, I have to go."
Mourinho recently ended his self-imposed media blackout
following questions about Diego Costa's alleged stamp on Emre Can
during the League Cup semi-final victory over Liverpool which earned the
striker a three-game ban.
