Since a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad in their first game of 2015, the Catalans have been rampant - closing the gap at the top of La Liga to one point and just one game away from the Copa del Rey final.
Ahead of Sunday's clash at Camp Nou, the Barca boss praised all of his forwards, but singled out Messi as being on another level in terms of talent.
"We have the best attacking options in the world," Luis Enrique told reporters on Saturday. "There's no team better than us in attack.
"Messi's numbers are from another galaxy. Not just regarding goals - also assists, individual trophies, team trophies.
"Football is more difficult now, which makes it even more impressive what Messi does. If I see a game from my playing days I just think how slow the pace was."
Luis Enrique also dismissed any notion that his squad might become complacent due to their excellent recent results.
"I don't think any of the players are relaxing," he added. "We are still behind Real Madrid and we need the points.
"The aim is to win the championship, it will be fought all the way just like last season. We need to be
prepared until the end."
Barca were held at Camp Nou on the final game of 2013-14 by Atletico Madrid, which ensured that the capital club topped La Liga rather than the Catalans.
