Cristiano Ronaldo's
party has been described as a "blessing from God" by the singer whose
photos posted on social media triggered the backlash from fans.
The Real Madrid forward celebrated his 30th birthday a few hours
after his team were mauled 4-0 by Atletico Madrid, which caused uproar
amongst the club's supporters.
Santiago
Bernabeu boss Carlo Ancelotti insisted on Friday that he had no issue
with the Portugal international letting his hair down away from the
football pitch.
In a similar sense, Colombian singer Kevin Roldan - who performed at
Ronaldo's birthday party - was bubbling with positivity in the aftermath
of what he described as "just dinner".
"There is no bad publicity," he told EFE. "The controversy has
brought me many followers, downloads and new fans for my music. It's
been a blessing from God.
"I know everyone would jump at the opportunity to take some pictures
with Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez, and that they'd then gain
interest on social networks.
"There's been some evil spoken about the night, but one must separate
the professional life from the personal life - it was just dinner.
"I don't understand the controversy. You can't win every game."
Real Madrid and Ronaldo will be hoping to get back on track with a
victory at home to Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday, with kick-off at
16:00CET.
Anything but a victory in the Spanish capital would allow Barcelona
to leapfrog them at the top of La Liga if they beat Levante at home on
Sunday.
