Lukas Podolski has thanked Arsenal fans for their support as he closes in on a loan move to Inter.
The Gunners forward is poised to join the San Siro giants in the coming days, flying into Milan to pen terms on Friday evening, with his frustrating final year with the Gunners set to come to an end.
Podolski
has made just 13 appearances in all competitions for the north
Londoners this season, none of which were starts, but he still took the
time to express his thanks to supporters ahead of his exit.
“I
can't express in words my gratitude towards Arsenal fans for all they
have done for me in my years in London,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Please
know my heart always holds a place for you. I hope I have left my mark
on the club & fans alike. Hopefully we shall meet again! COYG.”
The 29-year-old joined Arsenal from FC Koln in 2012 and his current deal with the Gunners expires in June 2016.
